Jimmy Chan

Born in Hong Kong and raised in Beijing, Jimmy spent 30 years living in Philadelphia before returning to live in Hong Kong. Being fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese has helped him to gain extensive experience supporting the delivery of a diverse range of large-scale concerts and public events, including acting as Safety Consultant and Liaison Officer with authorities for world renowned acts and large-scale productions, throughout Greater China and Asia.

Jimmy is a firm believer in promoting the importance of TESS’ event safety ethos across the industry and has been delighted to engage more people in safe working practices by representing the company as the keynote speaker at well-respected entertainment trade shows such as ProLight+Sound.

While leading TESS’ office in Asia, Jimmy has built on creating extensive, strong connections that span the cultural divide between local Chinese culture and incoming Western productions. Sitting comfortably at the table with Police, Security and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism officials, whilst retaining the practical skills in event planning, enables Jimmy to help with the effective delivery of productions by incorporating safety management from the planning stages to delivery.
