Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials
TESS jump into eventing as Safety Advisers for the prestigious Agria Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials.
TESS’ first foray into the world of eventing began in 2023, when we were engaged by Richmond Event Management as Safety Advisers for the Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials. We have continued to work at the world-renowned competition ever since, expanding our responsibilities from producing documentation, providing consultancy and covering public safety, to bringing in experts on equine incident response and safety provisions.
It is a multifaceted event, drawing in tens of thousands of event-goers with a range of attractions alongside the prestigious competition. These include a ‘farmers market’ style shopping village with up to 150 exhibitors, impressive equine demonstrations and family-friendly activities for the public to get involved in.
Working within the grounds of a stately home provides its own challenges, making a collaborative relationship with the Blenheim Palace safety team essential, ensuring we always work with consideration and respect towards the grounds in which the event is held. Furthermore, the proximity to Oxford airport introduces an extra set of considerations that require careful navigation, such as applications for the big wheel and following stringent processes for running the onsite heliport or carrying out any drone activity.
This is an event like none other on our roster and one that allows us to expand our skillset and team of freelancers in new directions, something we always love to do.
